Everything's Changing and Nothing's New
I remember what a change I felt returning from Germany and returning to the life of a civilian. I wasn’t sure what to do to prepare for the drastic difference.
Then it happened. I was a civilian again. It made four years of my life feel like a television series that had ended.
I know the news wasn’t all good news, but it was odd during this morning’s breakfast when it seemed all of the news was within our own borders and wasn’t about celebrities.
Even if for only twenty minutes, it kinda made my day.
I built a little script that can do Text-to-Speech. Now I linked it into my third party chat automation. I don’t have the ability to change the voice — which sucks. I also don’t really have a quick on/off switch for it yet.
Other than that, I think it’s pretty cool. People can talk to me through IM, and I don’t even have to be looking at the screen or skyping. I...
